ITTA announce new National Umpires Association

Following discussions between the ITTA Board and the Leinster Umpires Association a proposal to set up a new National Umpires Association has been devised and adopted by the ITTA. The proposal is attached.

The new National Association will be formally launched at the forthcoming AGM of the Leinster Umpires Association at the Irish Wheelchair Association premises, Clontarf, Dublin on Wednesday 13 August 2008 at 7.30 pm. The inaugural AGM of the National Association will be held on completion of the Leinster Association AGM.

  • 1) The purpose of the association are :

  • a) Recruitment and training of umpires in all provinces,
  • b) Updating umpiring skills of all umpires,
  • and
  • c) Provide umpiring services to all ITTA events in Ireland.

It is a very exciting time for members of Leinster Umpires Association as they are the one will be setting up the new association. They would be looking forward for support and cooperation from Provincial Branches and members of ITTA, as they have enjoyed in the past.
